On the morning of September 7th, our institute reported on the planning programs of Planning Design for Yingbin Revenue of Airport and City Center Urban Design for Chongqing Road in Changchun to Deputy Mayor Wang Lu in the municipal government meeting room No. 1609. Qu Guohui, the director-general of the Planning Bureau, and relevant department principals from Construction Committee, Municipal Bureau of Parks and Woods, Bureau of Sanitation, Municipal Civil Air Defense Office, Bus Group, etc. attended the meeting. Director Fang Fei and members of the project team of our institute reported the project plan to the leaders at the meeting.
The City Center Urban Design for Chongqing Road program was reported by China Academy of Building Research. Municipal and bureau leaders affirmed it and proposed revision opinions. Deputy Mayor Wang Lu proposed to enlarge the range of the study by extending it southward to Jiefang Road, and rename the program City Center Urban Design for People’s Square of Changchun. Meanwhile, he proposed to conduct an overall design for the underground space, build a winter-friendly underground city considering the underground corridor, and maintain the comfortable and grand city style in an integral spatial aspect.
Director Fang Fei of our institute reported Planning Design for Yingbin Revenue of Airport. Deputy Mayor Wang Lu proposed that we should consider such problems as landscapes of four seasons, demolition of illegal structures, brightening of important sections, etc. He also suggested submitting the project implementation plan to the Planning Committee for its instructions. Director Qu raised the issue of integrating large sculptures into the plan, emphatically creating characteristics of the landscape of Changchun, representing buildings on both sides of urban streets, etc.
